Last night I decided to see what movies were available on TMN On Demand and decided to watch Sidekick. At first I was a little bit reluctant to watch the movie because the plot line didn’t sound all that interesting, but it turned out to be a pretty funny movie.

Mild-mannered computer consultant Norman Neale has two great loves in this cruel world: Comic books and his office’s effervescent main receptionist.
The movie is about Norman trying to train a normal person who has super powers, in order for him to be able to become their sidekick. Unfortunately for him, things go very wrong. The movie lends itself well for a sequel.
On another note, the series finale of The Sopranos airs tonight at 9pm on TMN. I can’t wait to see how it ends. It’ll be very interesting to see how they tie up all of the loose ends. I haven’t posted anything about The Sopranos so far because I’ve been waiting until the very end to comment.

This is another addition to the movies about ballroom dancing. Antonio Banderas plays “Pierre Dulaine” who is a ballroom dancing instructor that tries to inspire a bunch of students in detention at a public high school.

It’s just another one of those ‘feel good’ movies that you watch when nothing else is on. It’s similar to any other types of movies with the same premise, where you have some group of people who don’t believe in themselves and someone comes along and makes them believe in themselves.
As a side note, do not get TMN(The Movie Network) On Demand. It has the worst selection of movies and you just end up wasting an hour trying to decide what movie would be the least waste of time to watch.

I just finished watching this movie, and I have to say, I was quite impressed. This one has been in my collection for some time but I haven’t had the chance to watch it.

This movie is a spoof on all of the bad 80s teen movies. To top it off, it’s narrated by Ben Stein. Periodically through the movie he will pop into the corner of the screen like the paper clip does in Microsoft Office. One of my favourite lines would have to be:
“I would like to thank my oriental trainer”
“Asian…stupid”

This was an absoloutely amazing film. This movie explores how difficult it was to express yourself through media in the 1950s. Everything was censored, and if you said something about anyone, you should be prepared to be desotroyed.
It is an interesting comparison to how it was then, and how it is now. The internet has made it very easy for almost anyone to express their opinion. RottenTomatoes gives this movie a 94%. It was directed by George Clooney. Clooney also played a main role.
See this movie.

Just the other night I finally got to see Superman Returns. I really enjoyed this movie. It has not been getting the attention it deserves probably because it had the same release time as Pirates.
I thought that everything about this movie was very well done, and all of the actors were well chosen. Some people say that it had a terrible ending, but I don’t think so. It had a typical movie ending, with a subtle hint that there is in fact going to be a sequel.I really suggest that you go see this movie.
