The new release of Podshow+ has been anticipated by podcasters and listeners for a long time now. Podshow+ was released a couple of days ago. I had the pleasure of being a beta-tester before it was released as a public beta. I was not overly impressed with it then, and I’m not overly impressed with it now. It really isn’t anything special. It just reminds me of a professional looking myspace community.

Don’t get me wrong, I love some of the content that PodShow produces in their podcasts. However, this long awaited web-interface is nothing to be excited over. You can go ahead and check it out yourself at http://www.podshow.com, but I’m sure you’ll agree. They have been pushing off this release way too long, and when they finally released Podshow+, it was very sloppy. As mentioned by a friend of mine, Jake Billo, they didn’t even announce the launch in the pressroom section of their website. It’s almost like half of the company didn’t know about the launch.
Where are all of the public relations weasels?
What now, Adam Curry? What now? I’m fairly disappointed in the CEO, Ron Bloom, he really appeared as someone who really kept things together. He slipped on this one.

Yeah, broken links on a site launch page aren’t cool either.
Also, I know they’re a Web 2.0/weaselcasting company, but their Jobs section requires me to listen to an MP3 (actually, three MP3s) in order to see what positions they have available. I’m interested enough in what they’re doing, and probably have a lot of the skills they’d be looking for, but that just doesn’t fly.
And now that they’ve got “About Us” working, how about hiring some native English speakers, who can properly encode an apostrophe into a page?

“Its your choice 100% of time.”
SOUNDS GOOD COMRADE!
